Livelihood
A route to market for foods village households already know how to prepare.
Aagan Foods began with a simple purpose: help create a route to livelihood for village households, while bringing their small-batch foods to families in Islamabad.
The year an urgent rural need inspired the idea behind Aagan Foods.
Floods struck communities across Pakistan in 2024. In affected villages, families faced the loss of animals, crops, shelters and homes. For many, the damage also took away the everyday means of earning a living.
The idea behind Aagan Foods was born in that moment. The aim was to create a dependable path for village households to sell the handmade, organic foods they already prepared for themselves, in the same small batches and modest quantities their circumstances allowed.
Aagan Foods brought those foods to urban homes in Islamabad, where younger and older customers alike were looking for raw, traditionally prepared alternatives to heavily processed store products.
Not mass production. Not anonymous supply. A practical bridge between rural skill and urban demand.
In a traditional home, the courtyard is where food is prepared, work is shared and stories are passed from one generation to the next. That sense of usefulness, warmth and belonging gives Aagan its name.
Aagan respects the scale at which village households can produce, while giving customers a clear path to understand and order each product.
